April 18th, 2009: How to spot E-mail Scams:

Jan 14th, 2008: New Security Added for WebMail

As of January 14th, SaberNet will be using a new security measure to protect our customers from spam

This Human Verification security feature will be running on SaberNet's Web E-mail client.

Customers using Outlook Express or some other e-mail client on their own computer won't notice the change. Only Web Mail users will see it.

On Web Mail, Human Verification will ask users to type a series of letters and numbers before sending a message. These letters and numbers are visible to the human eye, but hard for computer programs to distinguish.

For details on the new security measure see our

October 26, 2006: New Webmail Coming...

New Webmail coming soon, shortly followed by improved junk mail management. SaberNet will be previewing it's new webmail client in the coming weeks. This new client will be an upgrade to the current service in more ways than one. Among the benefits will be the ability to manage junk mail & spam in the same interface you use to check your mail. The new webmail client should replace the current one by December 1st or soon after.

[revised 11/6/06]
Even with the new client, webmail will still not be intended as a primary mail storage location. We do not guarantee any mail stored on the server. If you are using a regular mail client, the mail stored in Local Folders is on your computer, not ours. Thus you can read it while offline & make whatever backups you like. The IMAP folders used by most webmail clients store the mail on our servers.

Due to the similar use of IMAP by both the old & new webmail clients, any existing IMAP folders should appear under the new webmail also. An effort will be made to preserve any addresses stored in the webmail address book. Addresses from the old webmail will be copied to the new webmail shortly before it becomes available. This transfer process may not catch the latest changes, if they are made after the copy has already been done. However, any prior entries in the address book should show up in the new webmail client.

Logging on is simple and in just a few minutes, you can specify the level of protection you want!
